For a quince the BA.29 is a relatively vigorous rootstock, stronger than the MA or Sydo. For less fertile soils, where you want to have more growing power, the BA29 is an excellent rootstock.
Fruit size with BA.29 is excellent and trees on the BA.29 develop very nice in the nursery.
The BA29 is a good rootstock for calcareous soils and dryer conditions like south of Europe / Mediterranean area.
In cooler areas with more fertile soils the Adams or MA must have the preference.
