The most dwarfing of all apple rootstocks and is probably too dwarfing for most professional growing situations except for vigorous apple cultivars and/or on vigorous land sites. It gives hard fruit which results in longer storage.
It can also be useful for home gardens or for growing in patio container where a small tree is desirable.
Fruit trees on M.27 needs a permanent stake. Also it requires regular watering and very good soil conditions.
