Prunus Colt

The Prunus Colt is a rootstock which is in vigor between a semi-dwarfing and a vigorous cherry rootstock. It is absolutely less vigorous than a Prunus avium seedling.The Colt is suitable for a wide range of soil conditions but may be a bit more sensitive for drought compared to a Prunus avium. Fruit sizes on Colt are good and also the bud-take. It is very popular for home gardens or for growing in patio container where a smaller cherry tree is desirable.
