Prunus Gisela ®6

The Gisela ®6 is less demanding to quality of soil, water supply and cultural management than Gisela ® 5. The vigor of this clone is higher than a Gisela ®5 but for sure a lot less than a Prunus avium seedling. It is the rootstock of choice for lighter soils or heavier soils without irrigation possibility. Gisela ®6 should be selected, if trees are trained as crowns with permanent support, for more extensive orchards and greater plant distances.
