The Pyrus communis Bartlett is a rootstock selection of the standard Pyrus communis seedling. It is originated in the USA.
It gives a more homogeneous growth than a standard pear seedling.
Still it is very vigorous and not comparable with a vegetative propagated rootstock like the Quince-series
